What is Docfinder?
Docfinder provides a medical search platform with easy access to an extensive directory of Australian general practitioners, medical specialists, and hospitals in your local area. For more information please read our about page.
How do I search for a GP?
To search for a GP navigate to the home page or the browse page. If you know the name of the doctor you’re looking for then entering their surname is often the easiest way to find them and their approximate location as a postal code. If you are generally looking for a GP in your area enter ‘GP’ as your search term and the location you’d like them to be nearest.
For a specialist?
For a specialist you could search for their surname (if known) or for a list of specialists we suggest using the browse page to select a specific service area. Otherwise you could search the specialisation in the search field from the home page.
My doctor’s address (or other detail) is incorrect
You can notify us of incorrect details on a particular listing by navigating to that doctor or practice’s page and clicking ‘Report this listing’
How do I leave feedback on a specific doctor?
To provide feedback about a specific doctor, practice or hospital first search and find them in the Docfinder database and on their profile page click the ‘Feedback’ option.
How do I provide feedback on the site?
In the footer (on every page) there are two options to provide feedback on Docfinder.com.au: a tick and cross. Your comments and feedback are appreciated!
For doctors
How do I update my listing?
To update your listing first go to the update or register page and search for your listing. With over 40,000 doctors in our database there’s a high chance that we already have some of your details. Click ‘claim’ next to the search result to update your listing. If you cannot find your listing then you can choose to create a new registration from the same page.
How do I access feedback left on my listing?
To access your feedback you must have first claimed or registered yourself on Docfinder. From that point you only need to login to view your control panel to view the latest statistics on your listing.
